Inspiring children to live as productive citizens by reading lessons from his urban fiction book
Kimothy A. Clark provides a community of youth entrepreneurship services that teach children how to identify social issues with his Urban fiction novel Finesse-N-Da-Game. Tucker Middle School in Atlanta, Ga. was the first to adopt his book as part of their curriculum, identifying social issues along with helping raise the kids' reading scores.
Brief Intro to Finesse-N-Da-Game
Buckle your seatbelt and get ready for the ride of your life. If you’ve been looking for a good read, now you got one. Finesse-n-da-game is a powerful urban fiction novel that is full of twist and turns. From page one, it grabs you and holds you to the end. For all of you that have wondered how someone could get so deep in the game(street life) that it seemed impossible to turn back, then this book will really open you eyes and give you an inside view.
From day one when young Finesse was old enough to understand the value of a dollar and what it took to get it. He knew that it was must that he gets his. Even before he got into the game he was always respected and there was no mistaking that he possessed natural leadership abilities.
Once he grew up and came into his own, he realized that it wasn’t as hard as people made it seem to have any and everything a young black man could ever want. Part of the process would be him understanding why people called him Finesse and living up to what it meant “To handle or deal with a situation skillfully and artfully.”
With his down broad Terry staying down with him and his mentor, “Old George”, supplying him with old school wisdom and the best work, Finesse knew that it was his time. There was only one way it could be done, and that was with Finesse.
As Finesse climbs the ladder, entering in a world some come only dream about, he soaks up game from every one and every situation around him. Learning the best way to survive in a pool of sharks has never been an easy task for anyone. There’s a lesson to be learned and if a lesson isn’t learned, that same lesson will return.
Just to mention a few, these lessons are the very things Finesse needed to incorporate into his everyday life if he was to get to the top.
1. Just because you are good to a person, doesn’t mean that they will treat you the same way.
2. Everybody is not for you! No matter how good you feel about a person or how close you two think you are it doesn’t mean that they have your best interest in mind.
3. Sometimes it is necessary to apologize to a person first, even if you’re not wrong.
4. It is the little things a person does that tell you so much about them.
